Artist's Description
I wanted to create something uplifting today, so I reworked an old design. Traditionally, I usually color Easter eggs with my sister, but not this year. I have been self-isolating during this time of coronavirus.
In Native American animal medicine, the butterfly is a symbol of transformation. I choose to use the Blue Morpho butterfly because blue is associated with the throat chakra, the center for speaking one's truth. Purple is associated with the crown chakra, which connects us to our higher selves. It is also associated with the Resurrection of Jesus, who transformed the world through love.
It is time to transform into unity consciousness, to know that what we do to each other and the environment affects all of us. If a butterfly flapping its wings can create a change in another part of the world, so too can our compassionate actions create a peaceful and loving world.
About Ginny Gaura
My artwork, poetry, and designs exist to aid you in your soul's journey because each has assisted me in my soul's journey. I aim to combine my abilities to create works that enrich life, inspire others, encourage laughter, stimulate imagination, inner reflection, and conscious thought. My objective is to promote healing, peace, and love through art. Because I love creating for the joy of it, it takes shape in different forms which define me as a multi-disciplinary artist. I'm part- poet, painter, photographer, graphic designer, and writer. As such, I use many different media, often incorporating my physical artwork into digital projects. I enjoy playing and experimenting with text and images. Color and movement through varying lines...
